Default So now I have a Parker Hale 30-06

A really good bud just picked it up for me in Calgary. $500.

I'm not too knowledgeable about PKHs. The research i've done so far suggests it a real good, reliable weapon.

Any opinions out there would be appreciated.

two friends up in GP swear by their PH's - young buddy shoots a 30-06 and his dad a 300wm. Great guns, you can't go wrong with a PH nor the calibre you chose..very utility!
Enjoy

The best ones are made on Spanish Santa Barbara Mauser actions, a good looking, control round feed action.
The have great PH adjustable triggers, and stocks made by Sile.
Great rifles and very accurate.

Great rifles!

The 'Midland' model was, however, a bit shoddy!

I have a 270 and i love to shoot it. I like it so much that i might park the old 300 wm this fall in the mountains. The bolt is pretty slopy though just wondering if that is how yours is? I think thats just the old Mauser action but i've never monkeyed with anyone elses Parker Hail. The only thing i couldn't get to shoot for a load was 130 gr tsx. Best load i found is 130gr sst's, you can literaly shoot the tacks at 100 yards.
