Congrats. A buck on the ground is better than none at all. Enjoy the eats.

Haha, I got one of those yesterday.
Great for serving to people new to venison. Usually a milder taste.
Cheers.

Good looking buck. I've shot my share of smaller deer. He'll be good eating for sure.

Looks like an awesome deer to me! Too many people get caught up on the size of the rack these days. Congratulations on filling your tag, and enjoy that tasty venison. Which is what we all hunt for anyways. The rack is just a bonus!

How'd the bullet perform? I've got a bunch on hand to load and have a decent load worked up for the wifes 243 but haven't killed anything with it yet.

That is a great buck, Congrats!
My better half uses the 95 grain Nolser BT in her 243. It's a great bullet. She has taken two Elk and one Moose with it. All double lung shots and they all tipped over within 20-40 yards.

did the job, lungs were like jello, minimum meat damage (most my shots are heart shots). I have shot WT and muley with it, from 30 to 312 yards. ( i use 39.5 grains of IMR 4350), they never went more than 50 yards, most pilled between 20-30 yards.
