Default A couple pics.

I was one of the members on this site that quit posting pictures but after reading Pixel's Tread I will give it a try again. I am like every one else who loves to see the pictures so here are a few of the last couple days of hunting. It started off Sunday morning on a goose hunt up by Clyde Alberta. This was the first time I have ever bird hunted in my life and what a great experience It was. We were up at 4:15am drove out to the spot and set up our decoys and we were ready for action by 5:45. It was a very foggy morning so the geese were late getting in the air but once they started the fun began. There were 5 of us in total and it never took long and we had 35 geese and a bunch of mallards on the ground.Oh ya always make sure your shotgun is against your shoulder when you hit the trigger and not on your bicep cause it hurts right away when that happens but things happen so fast. I guess its my Badge of Honor.

The next morning I was up at 4:45 am and off to chase some elk around. I got to my spot and started my hike in and I was only 3/4 mile in on my journey when I heard a bugle I headed towards it when I spotted a Young cow elk out in the barley field by her self. Hmmm now what to do. Knowing I only have 5 days too bow hunt and I need the meat more than I need the horns I make a sneak on the Cow Elk. My papa always said you cant eat the horns son. I crawled and slithered along from the bush edge to the edge of the barley field and continued up along the side of the field for another 200 yards. The whole while having about 25 head of cows and calves following me and in my face sometimes only 10 feet from me. I thought they were going to ruin the hunt but it turned out ok. I finally get to where I am 60 yards from her and I wait to see her next move. I wait there another 10 min as she slowly get closer and closer and finally at 25 yards I bring my new Hoyt Spyder to full draw and send a 125 gr Ulmer Edge on its way. I hit her a bit high of where i was aiming but she runs out 60 yards and falls over. I go over and give her another one and the hunt is over. All in all a couple real good mornings with some much needed fresh meat in the freezer. Now to try get me a Dandy Whitetail in the next few days.

I love that first photo. I'm hoping for a few hunts like that this fall.

Only problem is too often I run out of light before I can take any good photos.

At least I get to enjoy your photos. Happy hunting!

It is the Turbo. I love it. I would shoot one for a bit prior to buying one. But it fit me very well
