computer screen size screwed up
Had to unplug the computer today to move it into a new entertainment centre.
Got everything all put back together, fired it up, started the browser and the screen is sized differently. The desktop bar has smaller icons, the upper bar is smaller, and for example this forum will not fill the screen, have to use 150% magnification to be able to read it. Just seems to be Firefox and Google chrome doing this, everything else is OK. incl IE9. I've looked all over for settings to try to fix it, nothing seems to be working.
Any ideas?

Nope, set at 1920x1080, doesn't help. Part that gets me is I didn't change anything before or after unplugging it. TV is set up right, IE9 works properly, just Google Chrome & Firefox browsers.

Not offered in that format in windows 7 by the look of it, just the magnifier you can add to the desktop toolbar.. I can do that on Chrome in tools, but it is site by site.

Temporary bandage:
In firefox at least, ctrl + and ctrl - zoom in and out and you can hit it as many times as you need to

What are you hooked up into?
A TV, etc.?
PM me what you have there / etc. (I'm a tech guy by trade.) If you want and I'll see if I can help out.

it is hooked to a Coby 40" LED tv/monitor. I don't think it is neccessarily a TV setting problem, might be. In looking at the Windows startup/login screen the login window is shrunk, I have reset the computer to 200%, in the custom screen settings, which does wonders for all the print on the upper and lower toolbars and bookmarks panel. TV was never unplugged.
For example, open Telus e-mail or Windows live e-mail, they fill the screen window, but the print size is too small. using google tools, have to take it to 175% to make everything comfortable to read. And I have to do that with every new site window as I open it, ie; reading the news off Sympatico.
Enlarge the Sympatico screen, then enlarge any link I go to.
I am missing a place to look, just not sure what else I can access to do it.
