Default Shotgun shells

I have been away from bird hunting for a lot of years. I couldn't use my shotguns that I have had for many years because of the steel shot. Well, the wife won 2 new shotguns at a Ducks Unlimited fundraiser so I think it is time to give it a "shot" again.
Any advice on shells in 3" and 3 1/2" for ducks/geese? I have not really kept up with this at all.

thanks

Kent Faststeel!!
For Geese, #1 or BB
Forget about the shot weight, just look for the highest velocity!!!

For Ducks prettymuch any steel shells over 1500Fps work quite well.

Geese I use Remington Hi-Speed Steel, 3", BB's, 1-1/8oz, 1550FPS.
Ducks I use Winchester Expert Steel, 3", #2's, 1-1/8oz, 1550FPS
