Default Nickel plated case reloading

I've always been under the impression that reloading nickel plated cases was hard on dies, and therefore never bothered reloading them. Is there anyone that reloads these cases?

It's the flakes and specks of nickle that create the damage to dies and cases.

If you take the time to stop and clean your dies periodically I doubt you'll see too much of a problem.

From the RCBS instruction pamphlet;
IMPORTANT: We find that most scratching of the interior of a die is caused by nickel cases or by grit, on the brass surface.

I reload them but chuck them out if I see the nickel start to peel or chip off. Never bothered me to have a few scratches on my brass or in the die for that matter, all I care about is that it is sizes them correctly.

Keep brass and dies clean and well lubed and you will have no problem. Nickel cases are like black cars, they show every mark so people think they are harder to reload. You have the same thing happening to your brass cases, you just can't see it as clearly.

They all do better cleaned and lubed and the crap from the spent primers is probably the most damaging stuff for scratching and wear you will ever find so keep you press and dies well wiped down of this stuff.

I load only Nickel plated brass and have been doing so since 1999.
This winter I have loaded over 2500 rounds of nickel plated ammo and have not had any issues with any of my RCBS dies. Like others have said I do keep my dies and brass clean and well lubed. If there is a flaw in the brass it gets chucked before I ruin anything.
Some people ask me why I use nickel plated brass. My main reason is that I Iike how it does not tarnish like brass does. Oh yeah I like shiny things too.
