Default Looking for salt water spinning rod/reel recommendations for Cuba

Need to get something quick. What I thought I had isn’t going to work.

Just looking for something to catch a bunch of small barracudas and anything else around in the salt water lagoons and off the beach.

Any suggestions based on something available?

Needs to fit in my suitcase. Not expensive. Only need it for a day or two.

Any thoughts? Fishin Hole had nothing.

If you can find a Okuma Nomad in time they are a pretty good inshore rod. Come in a carry on case.

I have a heavy one… like it. Probably more than I want to spend for the time I’ll be using it.

On the cheap end I’ve got Daiwa BG, shimano nasci and stradic reels that I use in the salt. I’m four years in with them and zero maintenance besides a freshwater rinse after a trip.
For something a little more staunch that’s going to see heavy use I run a couple of saragosa’s.

For cuda and their ilk I would run a 2500 or 3000 stradic every day of the week if you’ve already got one.

If not, a $90 nasci can handle the job.

Cudas where I’m fishing are at most 2 foot long. Most are around 16 inch by the looks of it.
