hmmm, I've never really thought about Nordegg as being around Calgary. I need to expand my horizons!

Check out WMU 326 . The southern part is within your 2 hour range. I filled my 2 white tail supplemental tags and my buck tag and my nephew filled one supplemental and a buck tag 10 days ago. We should have filled 8 tags but there were a few missed shots. Also killed a wolf and I passed on a decent black bear, it wasn't as big as the last one I killed.

No need to go that far.... Try 316 or 412, lots of WT in the area.

Yes on a general license.

I've seen (and taken)a few nice WT bucks out of 316.
Mulie bucks are small, if you can find one at all.
OMO but they should close the season on antlered MD and let em grow some.

I agree with TUC on the 316/412 thing. I shot a few WT's there when I first started hunting, and one day a Mulie Buck on a general tag after sighting in my rifle with a buddy. We were in Lost Knife Creek.......just west off the forest truck road once your in the forest reserve on your way towards Waiporous.......Just keep your wits about you, saw a few Grizz in there last time I went there.

I guided deer hunters in 412 for a few years and there are some good whitetails and some good mule deer for those who are willing to do some serious hiking. Always saw some great rams amoung the mule deer too.
