Default Grizzly

Me and my son just drove in on logging road in 328 off weyerhaeuser road at km 52 and north to km10 towards gas plant. It was just before sunrise got out of truck stretched and got something out of back of truck walking back to open door of truck I see maybe 50 yards in front of truck a large object in middle of road. I needed to take a second as it was on hind legs and a amazing silver grey color. My son didnt react till it dropped to all fours he thought it was a old tree till it moved. The size was amazing as high as a 10 feet and 4 feet wide and thick seen many black bears and some big one but the sight of a grizzly remarkable. We watched as it run up a hill effortlessly and stopped at top of hill looked back and it was gone.We hunted in a different location could get my son out of truck. Later that day quaded back there found impressions but nothing that stood out as ground is to dry and hard in area. Later after that got a glimpse of small cougar running through cut block 5km away from grizz sighting . A good day in the bush.

I was chatting with a friend from down south this week, and was told about a confirmed cow killed by a grizzly. Anyone else know about this one?
I will see if this friend of mine is willing to post some more info on it for us.

Default Grizzley seen

Was hunting/scouting west of Robb on Sunday October 23rd. at 1:45. We run into a massive boar at 15-06-48-16-w5m. spotted him at approximately 200 yds and was able to get to within 80yds of him. He stood up on his hinds and walked towards us a few steps then dropped down and run at us for 10 yds then turned and run into the bush. I figure he was 12-14' tall on his hinds and was wintering quite well as I could see only about 14" under his belly to the ground. Very large bear, quite an impressive site to see.

Buddy of mine spotted a monster boar feeding on a slope near Onion Lake west of Hummingbird on Thursday. I'll try to post some pics as it was a truly impressive animal.

Default grizzly sighting

Out hunting in ghost fluz on Friday afternoon. Walking through the bush, and found a nice spot to sit and wait, for my buck!(number one, didnt happen
Anyways to the point, saw a sow and a cub, bout a kilometer, maybe more, from the South Ghost Pra. She came trotting out into the open, and then buggered off into the bush, about a minute later her cub came.

Saw a large boar out by blackstone just NW of Nordegg.

Minding his own business, didn't think to bother us.

I saw a big track in the snow sunday along the simonette river in 353, beside the bridge on the 4000 rd. And saw the same track about 4km further as the bird flies on another road in the same unit.

Saw two at the Petro Canada on Hwy 1 and Hwy 22.
Eating in the field 100 m N.W. of the gas station.
Looked like 2 to 3 year old cubs.
Walked right up to the F&W truck.
Awesome to see even if they are little guys !

Is the government still requesting us to report grizzly bear sighting? I know they wanted sightings reported in the past but haven't heard anything lately.

I saw a nice bear in Virginia Hills on Friday and want to report it

Just before we left Beaver Mines we saw 4 in the meadow near our rented house. We were having supper and looked out the window to see a sow with two last years cubs. After a bit they all stood up, turned a ran away. About an acre away was a big dark boar, she was having nothing to do with him. This was on Sept 20th. This house is on main street in BM.
I have some grainy cell pics but don't know how to load them. Phil.
