Default Cableas backorder wait times?

Bought a shoutgun back at the start oof the year Jan 6th...

It still hasn't arrived!!!

How long have you had to wait for back ordered stuff from these guys before?

I've phoned a couple of times to speak with them and check in but get the same answer every time....

"Do you want to cancel your order?"

Super frustrating.. its not so much the wait as it is the lack of communication and "we can't help you" attitude over the phone..

Anyway the shotgun in question...

I can't be the only dummy waiting....

Part of the issue with ship to store is they will wait until a pallet(s) is full before shipping it from the Calgary distribution center. Your product may be in stock in the warehouse, on the pallet, but waiting to ship. Or at least I've had that experience before.

Took them a month to get me the rifle even though they charged my credit card already. Took them 2 weeks to bring me a rifle that was in stock online.

It also depends when the shoutgun you ordered arrives into the country. Permits and paperwork along with the fact that Canada is a very small end user, and gets the leftovers from the big persons table, often means things can take a while.

Was this the model Winchester had the recall on?

I ordered a bag that was on backorder. Just came in yesterday, only about 2 weeks, so I'm pretty pleased. Was expecting to wait a lot longer.

Backorder means that your shotgun may not even arrived in the country yet. Nobody will be able to give you any time frame on that. When something is available on-line it should arrive in any store within 2 weeks. Backorder however is a whole, different story.

Now on the one hand sometimes the manufacture'r doesn't have them in stock.
They forecast their production and do a number of runs year.
Unlike what some think Cabela's doesn't phone Remington (or whoever) and say "hey John just ordered shotgun, can you make one up for me".
On the other hand, if it is an item they normally carry, they should not charge you till they ship it.

Default No problem

I ordered some Elk Tracker boots that were on sale but size was out of stock, then back ordered. Less then two weeks later, they called and advised they were in the store at Calgary waiting for me .

Backordered a browning o/u 20gauge back in the first week of July. It finally arrived last week. Takes some patience, but worth the wait.
