Tempo is marketing arm for Co-op refinery in Regina, fuel comes from Edmonton refineries like Suncor or Imperial Oil. Co-op will sometimes send you upto 6 cents a liter rebate check in spring as well.

In North Battleford SK today Fasgas showed on the board .804/L but was actually selling at .784.
Best price in LLoyd was .956, saved $41.00 when I fueled up the truck and jerry cans.
I filled a bunch of diesel too, Lloyd is $1.179 NBF was $1.065.
After 4% from the Petro canada rewards card and another 4c/L on my visa cash back it was a pretty good saving.
I have to go again Monday, might take a slip tank and grab 450L. $70 savings before discounts is worth a little weight in the truck.
When fuel hit .60c a couple years ago I had several thousand litres stored here.
Just a tip- the bulk fuel stations give away steel drums for free. Suck out the tiny bit of oil residue with a vacuum pump and you have a 205L free storage tank. Then I transfer to a sitting 500L slip tank with dual water filters just to be extra safe.
I have not bought any measureable amount of fuel in Lloydminster in months, apparently many are doing the same as me. You don't need to go far on hwy 16 to save lots.

That is WAY better prices than we are seeing here, lowest I have seen in the past couple of months is 81.4. 60 cents is a hell of a deal! Glad you ahve the ability to stock up, it really does help.

I paid 82.7 last night with my Hughs .5 cent off coupon. Good time to refill at that price, 136L in the ole V10 fuel tank. Ready for the next sled trip
My friends with their diesels are not liking paying 20 plus cents more for their fuel.

I think prices have bottomed, can't see them going down anytime soon. I am going to play the odds and fill another sliptank in North Battleford Monday at $.804 and get .08c in petrocan/visa rebates.
The reason I say this is when it is dropping we see a couple cents or more every few days, and it hasn't moved here for a couple weeks. I bet the next move is up.

I don't know why anyone would ever buy gas at Shell. They are always the first to raise the price and most day's are $0.05 more than the other guy's. I only fuel up premium for my toys there as they have no ethanol in it, and that's only a 5 gallon tank every few months. ( Snow blower, lawn mower, weed eater, ice auger etc... )
My trucks get Costco gas !
Just think about the price it is now. Remove the $0.10 carbon tax and it's the lowest I can remember in 5 or more years.

Just so you know, I have a car that uses Premium fuel. Costco sells ethanol free Premium gas and it is only 14 cents more than their regular gas. It is way cheaper than Shell premium, which tends to be 25 cents higher than their already inflated price for regular gas. I find Costco to usually be 25 cents a litre cheaper on premium than Shell. Even on 5 gallons that is 6 bucks.

Gas buddy says price going to climb, but with outlying areas dropping like Camrose maybe it will see a little more of a drop.
Now I am second guessing my self with the slip tank tomorrow lol

What I don’t 7nferstand is why Shell built a new gas station right across the road from Costco gas in Edmonton West end! They are like 20-25 cents more expensive but I always see cars there! Maybe they know something I don’t know....

Shell did the same near the North side St Albert Costco. There just seems to be some people who really don't care what the price difference is. No idea why but you see it all the time. Cars fueling up when the station next door is 10-30 cents cheaper. With the exception of Co-op and some Fast Gas, which both tend to be cheaper, they are all pretty much self serve so it can't be better service. The convenience stores all seem to be pretty equal except for Costco and Mobile which don't have one or a bathroom for that matter. Co-op usually has great convenience stores and clean bathrooms, Fast Gas usually not bad. I really don't get it either.

The other thing Costco doesn't have (in Canada for some reason) is squeegees which sucks when you want to clean your lights or windows. I've gassed up at superstore in Clareview a few times instead of Costco just for that reason.

I bought 500L in North Battleford today @.794.
Lloydminster was .956. I saved $81.00 today, that Lloydminster stations will not see, due to nothing more than greed. The fuel trucks drive 140 km past lloydminster to deliver to North Battleford.
It's not a carbon tax deal, Camrose is the same price.

Interesting developments this morning. Fast gas, Tempo, Co-op, Mobil and even 7-11 are down to 83-84 cents. Costco is 86 to 88 cents. First time I have ever seen Costco NOT show up on the top 15 lowest prices list. Looks like gas prices are trying to stay low for now.

And I fueled up in vegreville yesterday on my way home from Edmonton @ .804, funny how on both sides of lloydminster the price is 15 cents cheaper,

So today Edmonton prices range from 80.9, Tempo Spruce Grove to 107.9 at Shell. A 27 cent difference and for almost 2 weeks Costco has not been in the top 20 cheapest gas prices. I actually sent Costs an email a few days ago about this, surprisingly no response. Costco is usually pretty good about answering, even if the news is negative.

The west end Costco has regular at 0.85 and Shell across the road is at $0.96!
You can find a better deal on regular gas than what Costco is offering but they are sill cheaper than anybody else on Premium.... both of my vehicles use premium.

Well - Costco just bounced up to 106.9 today. There are still a few stations at 99.9, better fill up before they all go up. I see we are starting to head for the summer screw over we get every year on gas prices. Oil is still under $60 a barrel but apparently that no longer impacts fuel prices. Now apparently it is all about capacity at the refinery and refineries in Texas and Louisiana being out of commission. I REALLY believe that. Seems that our local refiners, Parkland Fuel's record earnings must be just good luck.

Bump this thread from 2019. Interesting to see, even with gas rising, it is cheaper than it was two years ago. What has changed a lot however is the spread in gas prices. Here in Edm this morning the low to high is 8 cents. Two years ago, it was up to as much as 45 cents per litre variance.
