You can count us in Dick. I'm sure it will be an outstanding weekend as usual. Due to circumstances I don't think I will be able to help out as much but will try.

Seeing you and visiting with you is most important.

Can I interest you in a bright orange ball cap?

Default kinda dissappointed

I Started the other thread on this topic with the intentions of making this shoot again this year. I had an awesome time with my pink haired Ken last year, but unfortunately I doubt i will be able to make it this year. Finally sold my house and bought a new one so I will be moving the Family out to Cold lake with me like that week…..I'll see if I can work something out though.

Sounds like a few new shooters will be attending. They won't be disappointed.

I'll be there Dick. Got the room booked for Nick, Benny and myself. Can't bring my quad though, I've got to scoot off to south of Edson and then off to Lac La Biche after the rodeo to trouble shoot a couple of gas compressors. I don't want to haul my rig around. Looking forward to seeing some 'ol faces and new ones too.

Really wish I could have attended this year's rodeo. Unfortunately, I have high angle rescue training that weekend.

Maybe I need to get my priorities straight.

You guys are going to have a heck of a time! Wish I could be there but I won't be able to make it this year.

After shooting at Canadian Nationals for 3d Archery last weekend I have too much to catch up on.

Thanks man I was pretty surprised and proud to come home with a silver medal for Alberta, BC snagged a gold 4 points ahead and Saskatchewan snagged the bronze with a virtual tie to my score....super tight race!

Yah....that shoot off was pretty close! Funny thing is I had to do a shoot off at Nationals for my medal due to a tie! I like to cut things close apparently.

Well attended, with fair weather, good food, and great people.....

Duceman gets to get his name on the trophy.
Duces buddy David tied with him for top score, and the 4 shot elimination shoot off was exciting.
Pit Boss snagged third overall, as well as top youth.
Moo Snuckle's son Adam was fourth overall with 2nd youth placing honours.

I'd like to thank everyone for coming out, I'd also like to a knowledge our sponsors and door prize providers.
She Creative Taxidermy
Bull shooters
Wheel Wright Enterprises
Flys Etc
Dudley's Outdoor Escape
Secure Energy
Team JW
LCOS
Moo Snuckle

I hope that's everyone.......

I'm sure others will chime in, but I'm sure travel and un packing is paramount at this time.

Shoot couldn't of been better. My score could've been better

Weather was excellent, and a lot of good shooters and comradery.

A big shout out to Dick and his helpers for making this possible, and a special thanks to all the cooks, as well as the fire wood brigade. Was a great time, and hoping to hit it again next year.

Should also add that Bruce schooled everyone on how to place up top with open sights, and a lever gun.

It sure looked as though everyone enjoyed it. Congrads on your win duceman. Many thanks to Dick284 for a superb job of organizing. A big thank you to the ladies for their awesome cuisine and to Colin for supplying the steaks. Let's not forget a big thank-you to the sponsors.

As for me, many thanks to the kind folks that helped me out getting around.

Default Rifle Rodeo After Dark

The biggest part about an event like this, is that the actual shooting part is such a small part of the whole weekend. Meeting new faces, reconnecting with distant friends, and watching the youth becoming engaged in the whole thing is something you could never grasp until you attend.

Saturday nights supper, and the real after the fact revelling is where the cherry hits the topping to another fantabulous weekend.

thanks for the congrats guys.
as usual, the get together was a great time. i shot my coyote/deer rifle in 6 br. it has a jury barrel 20 1/2 long, chambered by bob at custom gunworx, (profiled skinny like a winchester feather weight). with a savage model 11 bedded into a boyd's prairie hunter stock.
used a leupold fx3 6x42 with target turrets and ao, regular crosshair. (will be sending it in for a dot this week.)
sierra 70 gr hpbt bullets over h4895 and wsr primed lapua brass.
shot the whole match offhand, except the gopher targets prone, and one shot off the wobbly table at the coyote. (missed off the table, got one hit offhand; 4x16 gong at 330 yds.)
special thanks to the prize donations, especially the grand prize of a full shoulder mount deer. backwoods runner will have to fill in the blank on the taxidermist, don't have the card in front of me now.
as usual we ate like kings, and the social gathering was second to none; nothing like getting a group of like minded people together and sharing stories and refreshments.
looking forward to next year as always, thanks again to dick and the evergreen club for providing a great platform to hold an event, lee
