Default 45 Springfield 1911 question

How easy / effective is it to swap out combat sights on a Springfield 1911 a1 to target / adjustable sights.

Asking cause had a kimber previously and couldn't install bomars and ****es me off if gotta aim down and to the right a bit.

Might pick up a new / decent deal Springfield 1911 one soon.

( not much in the habit of combat situations ATM )

Thanks

The ramp combat style sights are adjustable, it just requires a tool to slide it either way to put the sights on target.

windage adjustment is through side to side movement of rear sight. For elevation, you have two options. A) file down front sight post. B) Most quality aftermarket sight companies offer multiple height front sights. Replace with taller or shorter depending on POI

Copy. Thanks.

Yeah I'll evaluate the combat sights with my hand loads for old pistol and go from there / tinker with new hand loads.

Yeah. Got experience with adjusting front sights by filing down / ordered a new one eventually for a Jungle Carbine I used to have.
