10 Commandments of Shooting Safety.


1# Alway's keep muzzle pointed in a safe Direction.
2# Firearms should be unloaded when not actually in use.
3# Dont rely on your gun's "Safety".
4# Be sure of your target and what's beyond it.
5# use correct ammunition.
6# If your gun fails to fire when the trigger is pulled,Handle with care.
7# Alway's wear eye and ear protection when shooting.
8# Be sure the barrel is clear of obstructions before shooing.
9# Dont alter or modify your gun,and have guns serviced regularly.
10#learn the mechanical and handling characteristics of the firearm you are useing.

The one rule that I like and taught my boys is: Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.

I think you hit the #1 rule on the head there geezer that is a religion in my house not a rule... I have how could I put it,,,, quite aggressively drove the point home when it is not observed.. I have a saying with my boys,,, when it comes to guns there is no room for mistakes you will not get a second chance,,, someone will die..... I would rather have them mad at me than dead............
