Default Edmonton Hunting Film Tour!!

Hey folks! On March 21 at 7pm, the Hunting Film Tour is coming to Edmonton! I am coordinating the show this year and can tell you that it’s shaping up to be an incredible night. It’s 9 short films compiled together to make a 2 hour show. One of the films was created and filmed by yours truly here in Edmonton!
There will be an intermission and at that point, there will be some amazing door prizes up for grabs. Everyone in attendance has a chance to win the prizes by simply filling out a sweepstakes card. The event will be held at Garneau Theatre, located at 8712-109St Edmonton. Tickets can be purchased at Jimbows Archery Edmonton for $15 CAD or online for $12 USD + fees. (It’s a USA ticket company, hence the USD).
https://events.ticketprinting.com/ev...onton-Ab-26453

There are only 500 tickets available and they’re selling fast. Just over 2 weeks till go-time!
Visit www.huntingfilmtour.com to see trailers.

Door Prizes:
-2 Hoyt bows
-Stone Glacier Evo 40/56 backpack
-Spypoint Link-S Trailcam
-2 Dozen Easton FMJ arrows
-Vortex Binoculars
-Grizz Target
-$300 Taxidermy Credit for Whitetail Taxidermy
-Lathrop and Sons Custom Mountain Boots

-Other miscellaneous swag

Hope to see a bunch of you there!
-Craig

I'm so disappointed that I had to miss the Calgary show due to work obligations.

That is awesome that you're ramping up the excitement with some great brands helping you out.

I won't be able to make the Edmonton show, but I would still love to see you film. You have been a great ambassador for hunting and your dedication is infectious.

Let me know if there is a way to view the film post show date.

Thanks for the interest guys! We've passed 200 tickets sold and a week left to go. Should be a great night. I think the films arre something non-hunters can also appreciate.

Kyle, I will likely put my whitetail film up online somewhere once the tour has run its course across Canada and USA. Appreciate the kind words!

Looking forward to this! Short films for me are the way forward with hunting on film. I couldn't be bothered with watching another traditional style hunting show ever again. The short films seem to really capture what hunting is all about. I am excited to both watch and enjoy the films as well as get some inspiration and ideas for my own projects in the future!

I agree. It was a fun night for sure. My favorite film was the 3 guys going for Mulies, then helping the one guy with his special elk draw. Really resonated with me as the most important aspect of hunting for me is spending time with my buddies, and if we get something is just a bonus.

My wife and I were there and were both very impressed with the quality of the productions and the family friendly atmosphere. Didn't connect on a door prize though, maybe next year.

My wife is not a hunter, but really enjoyed the films. I thought it was a great show. I will go again if they come back next year.

I have to say this was the best part for me. I had my 2 sons with me and made a point of talking to them about how nice it was to be in a large group like that and not have to deal with the normal loud mouth cursing like a sailor behind you or a couple of burnt out pot heads that stink like weed sitting beside you.

It caught me off guard that I actually noticed how nice it was to be in that environment with a group of likeminded individuals and enjoy the night.

Great job by everyone who put on that event and hopefully we see more like it soon.

Thanks for the comments guys! Glad everyone had a good time and pumped to hear the atmosphere was welcoming for everyone, especially kids. They're our next generation of hunters.
I want to thank everyone for coming out on Wednesday and I want everyone to know that I'm planning to do it again about the same time next year and hope to make it even better for you guys.

I would like your opinion on a few things though... Do you guys like the big ticket items for door prizes or would you rather have more items of less value per item?

I know parking wasn't ideal and I plan to give suggestions on good parking areas in the days leading up to next year's show.

I also know that it was too rushed with basically no intermission and next year I will rent the theater for a little longer and give a better break in the middle.

This event is all about you guys, so any suggestions are welcome for making it a better time for you, your buddies, your kids and your better halves.
Thanks again!
-Craig

Default How about an open mike story time?

I was there. Good show. Congrats and thanks! As a suggestion...if a longer intermission is in the cards, give some hunters from the audience some time to come to a mike and tell an impromptu hunting story? Put a big campfire video on the screen and let a few yarns be spun. For audience participation, give a prize on the basis of applause. The cool-factor would be extreme!

Sounds like a good time. I would have liked to go. Maybe next year you could do it on a Friday or Saturday? Work always gets in the way
