Default Seasonal Campsites

Looking at getting a seasonal site this year within 2/3 hours from Edmonton. Looking for some place with lots of trees and some good fishing. Any suggestions?

Default Chump Lake

Check out Chump Lake east of Boyle if you are into quading. loads of sand trails. Chump is good for small perch and pike from the pier if you have kids. Swimming is good, as the water is crystal clear. Also, North buck is a short drive or quad ride away.
$15.00 per night. No power available. Site are spaced well and the trees are tall. During the week you will likely be one of only three or four campers. They also have a portion that has long term camping with rather permanent trailers on them. Must be yearly leases I guess. Sorry that I dont know who to contact.

Default Re: Chump Lake

Brazeau Dam which is west of Drayton Valley. Buck lake as was mentioned. There is Pigeon Lake as well, but this pass summer it had algee or how ever you spell it in it. They are all west of Edmonton. There is also Gull lake. Then there is Long lake Prov. Park which is North of Edmonton. Even Thunder lake is nice.
