Default What's a good time for a evening hunt?

This morning while sitting our goose decoys we had mallards flying into them before we were sit up. I was thinking about going back there for a evening hunt. I never done and evening hunt before or a field hunt for mallards for that matter, so not sure of the timing as to get decoys ,mojo set uo before they move. The landowner said the birds were there last night between 5 - 6. I was thinking about leaving at 4:00, since its a 20-30 minute drive. Any thoughts or suggestions?

We always start setting up our decoys 1 hour early. It does depend on how many decoys Etc you have to setup. Give yourself some extra time to setup in the feild so u can make sure your setup before they come

Can never be set up too early. Last season I used to be ready to shoot for 4.

Default set up

It's pretty nice out, so being set up by 4-430 at least you will have some sun on you until the duck show up. Setting up late makes me wish I stayed home. Good luck.
