It is go time!

Meals are cooked and frozen, most the groceries are purchased, camo is washed and hanging outside to dry, guns and bow are ready to go, day and fanny pack have been checked and are good, just have to grab a couple things out of of the trailer and put them in the truck and do a bit of last minute packing. Hitting the road Sunday morning for a week at hunting camp with my buddies! This morning there was a decent layer of frost on the truck. on the drive into work the geese and ducks were on the move.
It sure feels like FALL is in the AIR and I have the FEVER!!

I am pumped but sitting here at work watching the clock is a bit like torture!

Anyone else headed out in the next couple days?

Watched 2 big flocks of specs go over the house last night and many more ducks have arrived the last couple days. something is pushing them down a bit early we normally see them around 12th to 15th so the 3rd is the earliest yet since I have been keeping track. Early FallAIR FEVER!!

Leave on Sunday, coming back Wednesday night,was supposed to be out last week but work/weather got in the way. Good thing as it rained for 3 days. Going to have 3 nights in the wall tent, 15 km's from the nearest road. Hope Bullwinkle is still looking for love. Cant wait.

I am headed "back home" I grew up in GP and was lucky enough to have an uncle that took me hunting. I still have some very good buddies that live up there, one just bought 8 acres very close to crown land so we will be using that as our base this year. We have been friends for about 25 years there is a core group of 4 of us that have been doing an anual trip for the last 8 years or so. It is something I look forward on the day that it ends.

There is nothing like hanging out in woods with some of the people you care about the most, especially in the fall with a rifle on your back and a tag in your pocket!

Well the work day is done! Time to head home and finish packing.

For you yup! We are short a Chris this year, he just had a baby and needs to stay home.
Pick ya up around noon Sunday. Most the food is looked after bring your own booze.
