Did everyone read this part?

According to the release, police will still respond to ATM, multi-zone intrusion, panic, duress, holdup, glass break, domestic violence and verified alarms.....

So...the cure. They respond promptly to every alarm they get. The only way of course to do this is triple their manpower.
This of course will mean a fair sized tax increase.
Which will set off all the whiners on AO about how overtaxed they already are (in fact their is just such a thread here now).
As I said in that thread...AO's...'whiners just want to whine'!!
Yup and the same whiners.

Great contribution, you do realize when your first and only post to a thread is name calling, it has about as much value as something that sticks to the bottom of shoe when you step into the barn.

Move to the country, or stay in the country, to get away or stay away from people, the establishment or whatever but then complain that they’re isn’t enough police presence around too. Can’t have one and the other.
The reason fire is able to make it out so quickly is they don’t have as many calls to go to. Same reason most in the country are volunteer but paid when they go to a call, at least mine did. So when you call the fire dept it only ties up their time and possibly takes away from an actual fire or crash they are needed at and jacks up taxes if it happens too often.
Police have a ton of other duties and a lot of them revolve around direct impact to human life. These are always first and foremost. Almost all the RCMP vehicles I’ve seen have career opportunity signs on the back of them. They obviously need more people and are trying to rectify it, one can step in at any time and sign up.
