Default Garage Heater Options

I am about to install heat into my garage. I was wondering if anyone has a Dayton heater. Just wondering how they compare to a Reznor or a Mr Heater.
The Mr Heater is the cheapest option and i had one that worked great at my old place. The plumber is pushing a Reznor which he will supply, however i cant find one for sale to the public. My other option (middle of the road in price) is the Dayton.
It will be 60,000 btu forced air.
Thanks

Im a fan of modine hawt dawgs. Decently priced, and you can get parts in canada if theres an issue, but ive had 2 in different garages for 7 years with zero issues.

I've installed Reznor, Lennox & Modine compact unit heaters in garages, they're pretty much all the same. I can't comment on Dayton or Mr Heater as I've never worked on or installed them. I'm presently quoting two Modine's for separate customers.

Some of the infra-reds can be a bit finicky. I'm also not a fan of them without sufficient headroom as they're uncomfortably hot. They're also a poor choice if someone wants to have an SUV with a Thule box on top parked underneath.

i would personally go with a Modine as well, very reliable unit.

you are going with a 60MBH heater? you must have a pretty big garage

Buddy at work said he was told to ensure some sort of air exchanger gets installed to vent moisture if he puts in a heater.
Any truth to this?

the only reason people are considering installing some kind of ventilation is because of humidity from snow melting off the vehicles.

me personally i wouldnt worry about it. but if you are concerned you could install a 4" inline exhaust fan that runs off a humidistat

I have a ceiling mounted Reznor and couldn't be happier. Good side 2 car garage and it heats it up real nice. Been in there for at least 8 years now and not sure of the BTU. Maybe ask your plumber if he can get you a deal on a dented one. That's what my buddy did and you don't even see it after we pushed it out. Cost me flat of beer for him to install.
