Default *2014 Shed Thread*

Well with all the snow it looks like we have an early jump on shed hunting this year. The bone has been dropping for a few weeks now so post up those pics!

Good Luck to all you shed heads this year!

Found my first on December 27 up by Athabasca. Earliest I have ever found a shed. Had our first shed buck show up on camera on the 22 which is again the earliest we have ever seen. Went looking for moose sheds but the powder was super deep and we were getting snow every night so we didn't find any. Found a big one when moose hunting in October so will head back once snow melts.

Saw a bull moose last Sunday. He had already dropped his. I have found 11 deer sheds so far. All just little ones.

Been keeping an eye on a few different groups of mule bucks and everyone still has head gear. Yesterday I was out glassing one group and noticed a small 3pt has dropped one side now! Can't wait to get out looking for sheds

Default Fresh Shed

This is from last winter, but it follows the theme indirectly. This rascal showed up in front of my camera just after dropping an antler. Never did find it.

Default Fresh as them Come

Went out with my wife on the snowshoes to check our feeder and cameras and found a fresh 5 point right at the feeder. Since I have 3 cameras on this spot I thought it was a good bet I might get something good. It turns out I can tell within 15 minutes when the buck dropped his antler. I also got a shot of a smaller buck that had also just dropped his second antler. As usual a moose wandered by to see what was going on

Looks like a pretty smart feeder you have there. Very little waste
