A little tricky getting down and up the boat launch at Sir Winston Churchill, but we were able to drive to Birch Island without much trouble in a stock F150. We had a couple dozen bites and landed about half of those. Even spread between tip-ups, jaw jackers and jigging. All pike but a couple really nice ones.
thanks for the report, was it ice or snow that was an issue at the boat launch? and how was the ice did you use an extention? We are heading up next week and am a little woried? Im also in a stock f150? any info will be greatly apreceated

We were on la biche all last weekend. The ice heave was right at the Churchill boat launch. 4x4 pickup won't have a problem. The snow had blown around pretty good when we packed up on Sunday. With good tires you should be fine. Used the extension on the auger. Probably wouldn't have gotten through without it with the snow pack on the ice
Thanks for all the info on the lake! Looks like we are going to have our work cut out for us? were staying in cabins at Churchill boat launch next week ? Cant wait to try anyways
