Well this isn't as exciting as all these rams, but it is my first and only sheep.
Thanks to the help of a couple friends I had an incredible hunt that will never be forgotten. Next on the list is a ram.

Dang Swarovski, you should be banned from the board for posting all that porn!

I'm trying to work out the details on another Dall hunt this year and your pics did nothing to quell my desire!

how does a person go about applying for a desert sheep tag and what would it cost to hire an outfitter if you were drawn? Is Arizona a better place to apply than Nevada? I'm just curious because I know Mexico is out of my price range unless I get lucky on the 649.

Just go on the website for the G&F in the state and all the info is there or you can go through one of the professional licencing services like United States Outfitters. You aren't required to use a guide but for a once in a lifetime opportunity like this, I'd recommend it. Prices are actually quite reasonable as you are only paying for his services.

Great pics guys, keep them coming. Swarovski, those are some awesome field photos and awesome rams. I love it. That third photo down has the perfect backdrop for a sheep picture. Looks like that last dall might have tumbled a little ways? Thanks for sharing.

Sheephunter - Sorry about the temptation... There might still be a spot or two remaining this year if you are interested?

Delburnedave - Thanks! We actally hunted that ram on top of a very large flat top mountain which made it almost like hunting antelope except for the grind to the top.

Hotels/flights/misc expenses/booking with a "cheaper" outfitter, I would say closer to 22K and I never even seen a legal dall. Only 4-6 actual rams.

Sounds like a waste of money... Tons of dudes go to AK and kill a Dall for $12-$14k, all expenses included.

The quality of rams in the NWT and the Yukon far exceeds Alaska on average. Not to mention basically zero resident pressure. You get what you pay for.
