Default Import restrictions on compound bow?

I sure hope there is not a mountain of paperwork to import from the States on them.

Default importing bows

I just brought in two ross bows not a problem. Just the normal stuff when importing anything. customs brokerage. I just had them shipped UPS and had to phone to clear them when UPS called.

Cool, ebay here I come......... when I get the money.

Its for my husband. He already tried a bow out and it fits well. I'll go to an archery store for arrows and tweaking but I just cannot resist the US prices with the strong CDN dollar.

I bow a few bows over the past two years for myself and friends as well as other archery gear and have never had a problem. Regular surface postage should only run you about $25.00 US. I've seen people try to charge $50.00 US to ship a bow to Canada and they are just trying to make a few extra bucks, wait for another deal then. You'll find some excellent deals on archery gear on www.archerytalk.com.

Default Shipping

Always ask that your package be shipped by post. UPS will charge you rediculous brokerage fees. Ditto what mskrecek says about archerytalk.com for buying used bows.

Default I can't believe that you can ship a bow to Canada.....

(which I will say first I am a bow hounter for many years) which could be used to shoot someone or something.... but you cannot ship a rifle scope which, unless I have been using mine incorrectly, you can only injure someone if you are willing to whack them over the head with it!

I know they think they are tactical but a scope is a scope whether is is bought in the US or in Canada it will do the same damage when used per the manufactirers instructions!

Just my thoughts.
