Default Knife ideas

I have an awesome old Gerber - Big Hunter knife that used to have a armorhide handle. The armorhide has worn off and I scraped off the rest down to a steel handle. It gets slippery when wet so I would like to dip the handle in something to give it some grip....any ideas? I thought something like powder coating but maybe someone here has an idea. Thanks!

Powder coating would give it a nice tough finish. In the coating shop I worked in we coated all of Weatherford's new headache racks and rocket launchers... THAT is one tough, grippy powder. Double coat that stuff and it ain't ever coming off.

Aside from that, maybe bed liner material? That would give it a cool look too

Plasti dip? I use it on bolt knobs, it's super grippy and dirt cheap, it does wear down but a can of it will last for ages worth of reapplications.

I watched a knifemaking video where the fellow did a tight wrap with some type of cord and then he set it permanently with epoxy.

Plasti-dip peels off pretty easily, its not particularly durable for true hard use.

I had the wood break off one of my knives, I painted it with truck bed liner.

the rope idea sounds neat, and as for plasti dip it works you'd just have to apply several coats but ultimatley its going to peel

Default Plastidip

Anybody see where this stuff can be bought? I might try it as I can always try something more permanent if it doesn't last very long. I only use this knife for field dressing game so not used that heavily!

Do you have a picture of it? I'd suggest having it sprayed with
Line-X....shouldn't cost much if they do it at the same time a truck is being sprayed.
