Default Looking for a cat outfitter

I am interested in a resident lion hunt this winter or next if need be. I've done the obvious research but if anyone has someone they'd recommend please shoot me a pm.

Check out Cat Country Outfitters. I hope that's right name. I believe they were close to 100% harvest with their hunters this year. Local forum member

I think you will have to line it up for after Dec 1 as im pretty sure all cougar seasons closed the end of Feb.

Kelly Morton has a lot of success finding big cats.

I would also recommend Kelly Morton, first class operation and lots of trophy cats.

Another vote for Kelly Morton, kills some of the biggest lions taken year after year. Very professional operation.

Hands down Kelly Morton! Here are pics from 2016/2017 season. The lynx/bobcat hunts all take place in BC. Feel free to PM me for any details.

The guys with Shaw Taxidermy are awesome to deal with. I've spoken to Brad several times and will be hunting with them next season. Great taxidermists too. He did two mounts for me recently.

I was going to book a hunt with Byron Stewart last year and I found him to be incredibly rude. After speaking with him and being somewhat unimpressed with his lack of professionalism I spoke to two guys that have been on hunts with him. Both told me they regretted ever having booked with him and suggested I look elsewhere.

Your gonna be $6000.00 and up for a trophy Tom. There are cheaper guys out there but when it comes too lion hunting you pay for what you get. Any good outfitter should be willing too provide you with references of previous hunters also, don't hurt too calm them up and get the hunters opinion.

Byron is definitely not the most rounded Outfitter. That being says he kills lots of cats and he hammers monsters year after year.

Another option is the Chorney's. They guide for me in BC after their resident season in Alberta is over and in the spring for bears. They were working with the Bio's this year on a cougar study. I think they finished the year with 39 cats caught.

Another vote for Kelly Morton, he hunts them all the way down to Utah. I know him personally and he's never failed to impress with the size of Cats he gets yearly if you truly want a monster cat, especially in Alberta.

Heard good things about Byron Stewart for cougar.

DO NOT use the guy from Whitecourt!!! Cannot print his name as it's going to end up in court!
Hunts private land without permission, poached a cat in December, hunter's cat was confiscated. Hope clients get ALL their money back!

Lorne Hindbo has a good reputation (South Ram Outfitters). He is year round all over Alberta with Fish and Wildlife treeing problem cats and collaring for biologists.

His dogs are top notch and always fresh from working year round.
