Does anyone know?
Is it allowed to bring shotgun or rifle to stay in a hotel? Thank you in advance!

Keep it in the case never had an issue, usually get ground level with outside door if possible.

Never had a problem. More of a risk to leave them in the truck.

My experiences as well. Seems like towns in the country are used to it. Best to call as mentioned.

It's not illegal. Frankly, I probably wouldn't even bother asking the hotel. But if you want to ask in advance to avoid potential hassle, go ahead. Probably more common in small town hotel than in major chains in the city.
Just for a giggle pretend you are talking on the phone and say "Yes, the sight lines are good from the eighth floor" when you join someone on the elevator carrying your encased rifle.

Any motels I've ever stayed in for hunting have been well accustomed to putting up hunters.Dont ask/don't tell....and if they do have a problem with it,then they are not a business I wish to support with my hard earned hunting dollars anyhow.

guess some other people may want to know this:
called the firearm licensing dept.... it's ok to bring them as long as it's unloaded and securely locked. For non restricted of course.

That's because we live in Canada. And firearms are legal here. Keep them cased, unloaded, trigger lock. Go pretty much anywhere you want. Go pretty much anywhere you'd bring golf clubs.

Yup
As long as you don't sight it in or shoot any skeet, should be OK.

X2. We have stayed in many hotel/ motels and have never had a problem. We always try to get a motel that you can park truck close to.
Some motels are very hunter friendly and have facilities to hang game, or know where you can.
Plus, most of the time we also have a dog with us. No problem. Most motels are hurting a little and can use the buisness.

I travel out of town and stay in hotels regularly and always bring guns with me ,even in Jasper National Park
As was stated , locked case or trigger locked if you are not in your room is totally legal

Really? The motel even has the facility to let you hung your game? tell me which one, I want to choose the same one to stay. I really worry about how to keep my deer if I shoot one at the first day of hunting.

Actually the motel is your temporary residence when you are hunting, just like your outfitter tent would be considered. Thus you have right to secure your firearm, however keeping in locked case and being somewhat discreet is recommended, do not want visit from local boys with yellow stripes on their pants because some lady feared for her life.
