Top four forwards are, IMO, Neal, 8 pts, Smith, 7 pts, Perron, 5 pts, and Eakin/Shipachyov. Top 2 dmen are Schmidt and Sbisa. They have a reasonable 1st line and PP unit. How they are doing it is easy, for the games they've won, their SA% is 0.949. If that's sustainable, they are going to win alot of games. However, now that MAF and Subban are hurt, it may be 6-6 pretty quick.

If you watch them play there is only one so called super star, the rest a third and fourth liners who are hungry, relentless pursuit is what I call it, teams come in expecting to coast and then find themself down a goal or two. Even strength they cover all areas of the ice responsible, not that great on PP but hey that will come. Who would have thought subban would play good, tends to get lite up but now is injured so time will tell how they deal with this.
Long season ahead but good in them...Montreal could take a page off of thier play reports but who cares eh....montreal

Ship price out west....

To me , I think it shows what a little motivation and puck luck can do . Ya 7 games in but at the end of the season 10 or 12 unanswered points go along ways .....

A friend of mine writes a sports blog soupsonhockey.com/2017/10/23/monday-morning-hot-takes/

Taken from the article, explains the hot start pretty good. Both goalies hurt could be a big reality check coming.

Sandwiched between the Kings and the Flames in the Pacific right now is YOUR Vegas Golden Knights who are an unbelievable 6-1-0 so far!* Chill on the record though.* There wins are against the Stars who Ken Hitchcock had yet to of coached up and get the flaws out of their game, the Coyotes twice, the Bruins, and the Sabres.* Saturday was really the first impressive win they’ve had, and while the Blues are hot early, a lot of people including myself don’t have them making the playoffs this season.* In fact, the only team they’ve played that I had making the playoffs is Dallas and as I said, you knew it would take a bit for Ken Hitchcock to fix what ailed the Stars sloppy play last season.* Its a great story, but I’m just saying you might want to go easy on how good you may believe they are.* They get the Blackhawks tomorrow night, and that’ll tell a lot more than their first seven games have.

They beat Chicago. They are playing as a team.

If they moneyballed this team a movie may come out of this. It would be cool to understand their logic in picking their team

Is this a hot streak or can they sustain this the entire 82 game schedule.

Hard to argue with the results, I'll be curious to see how it all looks by the All Star break. Been an interesting and surprising season so far.
