Any buddy but Kenny. If Kenny wins there will be a huge crossing to the Alberta party and the NDP will win again! Kenny is the wests version of Jean Chrétien.

Imo, this leadership contest does not have a whole lot of credibility. The insistence that anyone registering to vote had to provide a photo ID (generally a driver's license) that was going to be copied & held by the party has turned many away from registering. Even going to the office to register/produce a driver's license was not good enough - the license was still going to be copied/held. This flies in the face to trying to prevent identity theft.
Rather a paranoid policy as simply producing a photo ID to whomever was doing registering should have been sufficient - it is elsewhere in the real world. For those opting not to go along with the policy it will beg the question - no input into the leadership so when it comes provincial election time, why should I/others vote for either one of them?

Quite simply, I trust Jean a lot more than I trust Kenney.

Kenny is and always will be a conservative and imho they are responsible for getting us into this mess. Brian Jean is my choice.

Jean.

Kenney reminds too many people of the old conservatives that put us in the NDP mess.

Kenny is just the newest version of the Old PC’s, seems to be the least trustworthy politician in Ab. If he’s the leader then we could end up with another 4 yes of NDP.

Brian Jean.

Kenny is a snake. I also don't like how he is aligning his brand along Klein, Harper, & Lougheed.

Brian Jean folds like a cheap suit. We need someone with steel balls, to get Alberta back to a place of dominance.

Kenny. I like his social and financial stances and Jean already took a shot at Notely and lost. I haven't seem him doing anything different that makes me think he won't lose again.

Kenny. He is no saint but he's got a reasonable history (for a politician), and I think he can beat the NDP...if he puts the boots to any radicals from either side that try to bozo.

Jean has already lost to Knotley, has provincial/wild rose baggage, and has the angry old guy situation that I don't think is electable. He's a career politician and lawyer who only got into politics to see through a vendetta on public healthcare. That's not gonna fly. Would like to see him as AEP minister though, I think that's where he could excel and benefit Albertans.

Kenny. He may be snaky, but we need to fight fire with fire imo.

As stated, Jean already lost. Also his conservatism seems to be more of convenience than personal feelings.

Jean for me. Only guy who will FIX healthcare and do it properly. When you have ex paramedics like Tim Moen supporting the guy it goes a long way in my eyes.

Worth the watch

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JQJRmJHsOg

As Ive said before after working in the system. The only people who dont want Brian Jean to win are managers who are going to be getting pink slips, and have their offices moved. No reason to have AHS head office in downtown Edmonton paying top dollar for office space.

I'd say let's give Notley another term. She's making great changes for the environment, supports lgbtqrxy and z, and it's refreshing having a woman in office

And all the while, she is driving investors out of Alberta while destroying our economy. I Don't find that overly refreshing.

Kenney speaks with a forked tongue.

Regardless of who wins, the UCP will get my vote in 2019.

They are both good people. , I just hope who ever loses stays on with the party. Kenny will cause the most trouble for Rachel and Justin.

I don't understand why people think one or the other stands to lose against Ms Notley and her Robin Hood band. This will be the race for premier. The UPC vote to unite the right (96% -+) showed this province doesn't have the stomach for another NDP term. It will be a conservative landslide. I'm leaning Jean right now but keeping an open mind. Just remember to vote folks. I know I just made a huge assumption above^^^ but that will be based in all of us showing up...

He was no saint, but I'd rather have Ralph Klein back before either of them. I guess we can't do that though. So, none of the above?
