I emailed mine to cfpcfounit@rcmp-grc-gc.ca and quoted my application number. You can check the status of application on their website.

It is right in this very same thread. Check post 46. You know they have a website that has all the phone numbers, fax numbers and other info. WAY faster than trying to find it piecemeal on a forum.

My son sent his PAL application in Feb 16. It showed up as processed and approved March 21st.
Received it in the mail June 27th
Odd...when we called the CFO got the 'our printer is broke' excuse.
In my work I deal with print companies all the time and have a friend who works for one of the larger printers in Edmonton. They just installed a printer worth $2.5 million. He says that in twenty years in the business they've never waited more than 10 days for a printer to be repaired.
Unless the gov't uses printers from the Flintstones era and can't get parts that excuse was a load of Liberal B.S. IMHO.

My application was received April 5 and has been issued but I haven't received anything yet. The BS part is that my ATT is attached to the new card so they won't issue me a paper one. They are screwing me over for summer shooting.

Same here...still waiting and may exceed the date of expiry of the old one. May have to play with the bow only for a while, or call a friend with a valid PAL to accompany me to the range

If you started the renewal process before the expiry you're fine.

You even have 6 months grace on the expiry of your current PAL.

Applied for my RPAL in march and has completed initial processing in may. Hasn't changed since, so I called the provicial Chier firearms officer today, and they asked me a few questions, called my references within 2 mins, and it was issued within 5 mins.

Got mine renewal last week in the mail box.
I sent all papers in April and called them twice after that.
It took them more then one month to print as everything was approved a long time ago.
Looks like those guys need a new printer..

Default Reasonable time in my eyes.

Did my RPAL renewal. Mailed the paperwork on July 11th or 12th. Expiry was August 16th. We’ve been gone holidaying for the last couple weeks. New card was in the mailbox waiting for me when we checked this morning.

Did my initial PAL course and submitted the papers in February and I still haven't received it in the mail A buddy did it the same time as me and he got his PAL almost 2 months ago. Does anyone know how to check on the status of my PAL?

Held a current PAL and applied for RPAL, sent in July 11th and received new card in the mail today Aug 21st.

If you are going this route or applying for an RPAL, remember to send in a copy of your club membership!!! There is no mention of this on the application, and it was only after someone that deals with the CFO regularly reminded me to send it that I saw the application status change. It was approved and issued very shortly after they received a copy of the membership.
