Default Any podcast episode ideas? Let us know.

Guys, we're happy that people like the podcast episodes we've done so far. Almost 4 thousand downloads in 3.5 months.
So I thought we could put this post up asking what topics people want to hear about.
We've mostly focused on the "how to" aspect of backcountry hunting, gear type stuff. Answering questions we think new hunters would be asking.
Like what to carry, optics, firearms and bullet selection, when to hunt, etc.

Once the season rolls around, we'll be switching gears and talking about our time in the field.Things like archery elk, and early mule deer, our week long ram hunt, some ewe tags that need filling, hunting deer in the rut, late season rifle elk.

If there's anything specific people want to hear about, let us know.

We're on a bit of a break from recording right now, but will start up again in the next week or two.

Cheers
John

It'd be interesting to have someone from within the applicable government sector, come on and talk about access to lease land. Seems a lot of people have varrying thoughts on what is legal/illegal.

That's a good idea. Looks like a C.O. has agreed to come on as a guest. Maybe I'll ask him ahead of the interview if he can speak about it. This guy is a problem wildlife specialist, but he should know.

We want to hear about how things are going with all the new grizzly bears we now have. Should be interesting.

I'd been keen on hearing expert opinions on the grizzly bear issue.
Also CWD and other conservation issues.

Default Cwd

CWD is a good topic. Right now it's not on my radar because I hunt the western wmu's, so I'm glad it was brought up.

I'll do some digging on who to speak to.

Anyone know a good source with the government who works on CWD they can pass on?

Cheers

I voted for conservation/wildlife management but I'd say all of the above.
Surprisingly the least appealing for me is hunting stories.
Really love the how to's and stuff.

All of the above!
As long as the content has something I can learn form I'm all ears!
lost of the podcasts from the states talk about different hunting units, draw odds, ect, which would be great if they pertained to western canada!

Default draw odds for Alberta

The draw odds for the different WMUs sounds like a good one.

You guys should see about getting Kevin Wilson with Wild Encounters. He just did the Rich Outdoors but he probably has a ton of good stories and is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to bears.

Thanks for taking the time to let us know.
We're recording one tonight. It's a "how to".

On bow hunting. It's a guy who's likely forgotten more about bows and bow hunting than most of us will know. He works part time at a local bow shop, full time for an outdoor company, and does lots of hunting in our local bow zone.

We'll be talking bow set up, pro's and cons to the various options. Mostly with the idea that it's for newer bow hunters.
We'll also touch on shooting form and some common bad habits.
We'll probably chat a little about traditional gear too.

Cheers.
