Default Waders?

Can someone please suggest a good quality pair of chest waders that I can use for stream fishing, and some lake fishing from shore. I would like something I can take with me when I travel. I am hoping to keep it below $250 if possible. Thank you very much for your advise!

I would say it depends on how rough you are going to be with them. If you dont plan on climbing over rocks and running through dense brush, then you should be able to stay under 250 no problem. I have had a set of the white river waders, and the Reddington ones (both on the cheaper end) and they have been pretty great. even if you get a small hole, just go grab a patch kit. I dont think waders are something you need to over complicate.

My 2 cents

For less expensive waders I second the Reddington suggestion. That is what I use, though most of the year when it's warm I simply wet wade and don't use them. They mostly get used in the spring and fall.

I have had redingtons and they have been terrible. I get holes in the side of the pants within 6 months. I replaced one under warranty and the next pair I have just been putting a bunch of repair sealer on all the wholes. Now even my Neoprene has holes.

I would not cheap out on waders or its really going to **** you off.

Redington sonic pros are excellent, I and nearly all my fishing buddies use them, we fish 3-5 days a week and some of them are guides

Have had sims g3 stocking footed waders for 4 years now. Love them, no leaks, plenty warm for most water and if really cold a pair merino wool underwear under them and you are good to go! Wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair! Expensive but worth it in my opinion.
