Creeps in the neighborhood
Yesterday at 5 my partner came home to see 2 guys checking vehicles and walking up to garages and checking between houses. She confronted one verbally and he gave her some attitude and walked over to my driveway and started filming her as she wisely got back in her vehicle.
She called me. I was about 10 minutes away.....
After a few calls, "the boys" arrived.......
The distance between the creeps tracks in the snow got greater.......all the way to their getaway car which was parked a couple blocks away.......
Cant really expand much more because I am a very poor witness (bad eyes and memory)
Not something very common in our neighborhood...

I take pictures
I stood out in the road and took pictures of the little darlings, and made sure that they saw me doing it. One car stopped and one of the guys walked back and asked me what I was doing. I told him that my neighbours and I took pictures of strangers in case they disappeared and the RCMP wanted a description of the missing persons.
That must have satisfied them because they never came back.
The white hair seems to scare the young fellows.

Pro Tip. Long before there were tasers, there were capacitors. You could salvage them off old furnace motors. I may have known a guy who kept big ones charged and handy. If you toss them to someone, the natural instinct is to catch it. Try it sometime.

Glad your better half was not harmed. Those scumbags are getting more bold. They went through my daughter's car a week ago. Stole a lousy Apple charging cord, and then left garbage in her car. Incredible. We get them on our driveway a few times a year seems like.

Yeah partner wasnt harmed. If so, Id have a load of garbage to take to the dump. The garbage was pretty much bagged up upon my arrival. Decided to let it all blow in the wind instead....not very ecologically sound of me but .....

That just sucks about these losers not even trying to hide their intentions.
I remember clearly the days when guys like these would get just pummeled.
Nut shots, kicks to the head, the louisville limp, being a thief 20 years ago could be quite dangerous, but the ball seems to be in the bad guys court now.

As a former neighbor used to say, he kept a balaclava and a baseball bat by the entrance. If he saw something suspicious, he would put on the balaclava and go for a walk with the bat over his shoulder, and everyone would disappear.

I came across the story on Facebook about the guy who installed a holographic picture of the machine gun on his house window. That thing looked so real that even his neighbours were sure it’s a real gun…. Damn I can’t find it now but it was very cool! I want the same just for sh&ts and giggles!
