Victoria Fancy Meats, whenever I tag an animal, it goes into their cheese and jalapeno smokies.

Default There are lots of good sausage makers out there.

A little bit of a drive from Edmonton but it’s good.
G&S Meats in Morningside (Ponoka County).
Great Jalapeño Chedder smokies.

Default Good Thread

Too far for you to travel but I recommend ChopMeat just west of Penhold. Took a stinky mule deer in and they turned it into great cheese smokies as well as Japapeno and cheese. Thought I would post this for people in the Red Deer area. BEL

Country Quality Meats in Gibbons.
Probably the best thing they make for wild meat products.
Everyone else's I've tried for smokies just seem to taste like miniature garlic sausages.

I think I could live on the jalapeño cheddar smokies that Onoway packers make. You won’t find any better or faster.

Widynowskis Sausage House makes great smokies, been using them for years and never disappointed.
Only downfall is there is a waiting list to get in as they are very popular for wild game processing.

Onoway Packers. Everything they make is fabulous, provided you supply them with good quality meat.

I’ll throw another shameless plug for Onoway Packers, we just finished vac sealing all the beautiful sausage they did off my daughters moose.
40+ pounds cheese smokies, 40+ pounds jalapeño and cheese smokies, plus 40ish pounds of smoked bratwurst, incredible is all I can say, and less than 2 weeks turn around on the processing too.

“Best cheese smokies” is like saying best chicken nuggets... that smokie cheese is gross. The smokie part sounds yummy.

Cheese is the last concern when you get sausage back in record time.

I hunt to eat what I kill, not what some stranger killed.
