Default Plastic fouling in choke tubes

Anyone got a quick and easy method for removing?
I can see it, I can scrape it out but would rather not
Have heard that an acetone bath works but haven't tried it

Brake cleaner and a brass brush removes plastic quickly.

I’ve had good luck using some home brewed Ed’s Red. With a touch more acetone.

Take the removable chokes and let soak overnight in a sealer jar.
Or if a fixed choke.
I put an oversized patch on a trap load wad (gas seal end) and push hard.

Dextron III ATF ~20%
Varsol ~20%
Acetone ~40%
Kerosene ~20%

With the choke tubes removed, chuck a brass brush in a cordless drill. Some Hoppes9 and the brass brush will make short work of the plastic residue. Make sure threads are clean before you reinstall.

X2

Formula above works, or 1 part ATF/1 part Varsol/1 part Acetone/1 part denatured (ordourless) Kerosene.

Been using for years for regular cleaning of bore. A friend had a seized closed O/U shotgun from his Dad, I gave him a 1/2 gallon of Ed's Red, he took the action/receiver off and soaked it overnight, it freed up "like new" with no degradation of the bluing. Takes off the plastic deposits when used regularly.

Brass brush chucked in a cordless drill and Amzoil engine tuner. 55 seconds and done!

I use a heat gun to soften the plastic then quickly pass a rag through. I do this with the chokes removed and wear leather gloves as the chokes get hot enough to burn skin. Do not overheat, you are only trying to melt plastic.

Thanks for all of your suggestions
4 hours in varsol, then a brass brush on the drill
Most of the stuff fell off and drifted to the bottom of the jar and the rest came off with the brush
Shiny like new
