If anyone wants to shoot a 1000 yds, let me know, i shoot a 5.5" group with my 30-378, or if someone is organizing a 1000 yd shoot i will be there. I have had the pleasure to help web diligence build there program and would be happy to show ppl. Some ppl should spend more time shooting than loading "perfect" ammunition. Squeezing that last 1/4 minute out of your groups wont do you any good if you cant hold one moa or you cant read wind conditions.

The dates work for me.
I have light steel targets that WILL take anything short of AP ammo that the boomers can give that I would be happy to bring. As well as some heavy steel gongs that are 50 BMG proof. All are easily portable.

Put me and my son on your list.
We have the scopes and guns to get there......maybe..time to dump the 180gr soft point core locks BC=.380

Haven't had the opportunity to stretch our legs at longer distances yet.
Also it would be good to see and learn more.

Any more info on the gennesse competition.

One of us is going to have to which crews or i'm going to be outta holidays quick this year...LOL! Be worth taking time off to see this though. To bad i won't have any cast bullets made or the gun dialed in by then......well maybe!

I would think Mutt would loan out some plates for the bigger guns. Last year he did a pile of work for that shoot at Genesee.

I need to get home and do some final load work on a few rifles.

pm's/e mails sent to those that expressed prior interest....did i miss anyone???? keep in mind that this is tailored towards those with appropriate gear, namely scopes with target turrets.... as it is almost impossible to hold over and hit anything at 1000 yards consistently. that being said those that have never shot 1000 before are encouraged to come out and shoot as that is the main reason i am doing this, to help/encourage more participation in this type of shooting.

I guess .338 Lapua leaves me out, I was drilling holes in my 750 yard target on Easter Sunday (1/4" plate). I could bring a portable welder to fix the holes.
If the wind always blows, it may be a tough day of shooting.

Sounds like fun guys, unfortunately I don't have any equipment that resembles that long range stuff. Maybe next time, though, I'd love to try my hand at it some time.
