Default Cross border shipping for optics

I am sure there has been a thread started about this but I am just plain old too lazy to look.

To the topic at hand, I am looking for a Trijicon Reflex and I can't seem to find what I want in Canada. Now if I were to have a friend in the states buy me one then ship it would that be violating their export laws.

If anyone has a lead on where to get one of these red dot sights here it would be appreciated as well.

Cheers
Joe

Your right that this has been on here a few times.. Your going to get a argument over yes its ok and no its not. If you look at the ATF export laws it says that rifle scopes are not regulated as long as they aren't milspec. I've done it, I've known people who have done it and even been stopped at the US Customs nobodys said anything. But your best to check for yourself. Only you make the decision if its worth it.
