Wish Canada didn't kill most basking sharks on the west coast or we would have a similar shark to swim with.

Ya, tons of things I'd like to do that I know are irresponsible which means I never get around to them... I have jumped from a plane though so maybe one day a chance encounter will make my day. Now to get on my cousin's case to get re-certified as a dive master so he can teach me the ways of SCUBA. Won't get that chance encounter without being able to dive.
Basking Shark would be cool to see as well. Specially if it was so close to home.
DFO estimates there are between 320-550 of them left on the west coast, from historic highs of 3000-5000.
