I keep getting two different reports some say there is fish left. and others say they all got winter kill . please help.

X2, I live on an acreage right off the lake, it's not dead as I'm out fishing there all the time. The people claiming its dead have either been unsuccessful and over convinced by reports or just claiming what they think is too be true. I've caught perch and pike out of there this year(summer &winter), and some people have claimed to catching burbot as well this season.
