Default Rod building

just signed up for a rod building course at fish tales!

I was wondering where else I can get blanks in Calgary and what kind?

Doesn't fish tales sell some blanks/ kits for the class, support them and buy one of theirs for the class.
If you don't want to, online there are all kinds, also there is a rod builder in Calgary that sell blanks.

I build a few rods every winter
you can get some really nice rod blanks from pieroway out of Calgary
he also teaches courses

On Don's recommendation I ordered a few things from "rodbuildersupplies"
earlier this year.

They were courteous, helpful answering my questions and sent everything promptly.
