Default Couple old rods **Looking for info**

So I was doing some looking around my parents basement today and came across a couple old fly-fishing rods that apparently belonged to my grandfather. I snapped a couple of pictures and I was hoping someone on here would be able to provide me with some info on them. From what I can tell its a bamboo Pioneer rod made in Japan.

Pretty cool find if you ask me.

There are still a lot of these Japanese rods in peoples closets, no big value.

The reel looks like a Pflueger Medalist, but I think it may be a copy as the Medalists I have seen have a double pillar line guide and that one is single.
I am interested as to how the reel seat seems to be attached to it, is it held on by wire? Actual original Plueger medalists made in USA are still sought after, but don't expect a high price (It will say made in usa on the white central spool release cover if an original).
The rod glue holding the segments of the rods together is probably dried out and it would be risky to try casting it unless you are sure they are still tight.
