Default Just got a new fly rod!!

Well I finally upgraded from my first rod that I got in some fly fishing kit for beginners 2 years ago.

Stopped in cabelas in Edmonton and fell in love with a st.crouix imperial 4wt rod. Unfortunately they didn't have any 5wt in stock which is what I wanted. I decided to check out wholesale sports. They had one, and it was meant to be. Throw in the 20% discount they're giving on all rods in stock and I was a very happy man lol

Can't wait to get some trout on the new rod!!

Nice!

4 weight RULES!!!!!!

Use it properly and you can land HUGE fish with that.

Depending on the action, you can underline or overline to give you a bit more distance in your cast.

I almost never use my 5 weight now and I fish the Bow River in Calgary all the time. Big fish there.... and the 4 (7 foot) is just fine.

Happy hunting.

My 4 wt is my absolute fav rod. I use it with my 4 wt line for dries and 5 wt for streamers and nymphing

Awesome rod, 4wt in particular is great from imperial line. At medium range, you can hit anything. That rod made me feel like i knew what i was doing
