Default Home for a Whitetail Mount

Hi there,

Does anyone here happen to have a suggestion on where I would be able to donate a whitetail shoulder mount? 155" deer. A sporting goods store perhaps?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

A while ago I was considering donating a mount and broached the topic on the AO forum. I did find out many organizations like hunter ed and such have more mounts than they can display, so many end up in storage and no one sees them. An AO member that works with youth and showed an interest but I ended up giving it to a young fellow. A local mom and pop sporting good store might enjoy having a mount. A local museum close to where the deer was shot might display it too.
I ended up donating mine to a younger fellow who really excited about hunting and has physical limitations that leaves him with less opportunities. He's young enough it can hang on his wall for the next 40 years.

Be sure to write up a bill of lading explaining that the mount is being donated to so and so by who and where.

Is there a local Fish & Game Club that might have a clubhouse?
