You know what Savage?

This is one of the best ongoing threads I have seen the past couple years on AO. Constant updates on your pooch, along with pics. You should be proud, and your boy is developing into a great dog. Good on you! That is what it is all about!

Merry Christmas!...

Thanks Phil. It's like watching a kid grow up. He's definitely grown on me. There's so many threads about dogs that have passed on. They leave such a huge void when they're gone. I like sharing what my guy is up to. But my favorite part of this thread is when the other members chime in with their pups.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Spent half of the afternoon at Sylvan. It was enough to tire the boys out.

Great dog. We're lucky to have them in our lives.

Yep. It's something only a dog owner would understand. In Feb it will be 2 years that we've had him. He is 100% part of the family. We couldn't imagine not having him.

Even tho he annoys the heck out of me. He's a needy baby. And what really ticks me off is if I'm sitting down, he always comes up beside me and runs his cold wet gooey nose up the back of my arm. Like from your tricep into your arm pit. Does he think that I like that?

I dread the day that I'm posting about him moving on to the dog park in the sky.

May be it is his way of saying to you “It is a good time to take a shower”.?

All he wants to do is play with the old cat. But the cat wants nothing to do with him. You'd figure after 2 years they'd start to get along. But nope. The old cat does not like dogs.

There is a chain of command. The big fella still has to wait in line at the watering hole.

I am surprised he hasn’t snacked him yet…
Looks like the cat is in charge…and pushing his luck, lol!

He's got a couple of scars from the cat. I think he's been traumatized since he was a puppy trying to play with the old cat. So he thinks the cat can still beat him up? Either way, for the most part, the cat leads a pretty quiet life.

We would never have the time to tap into his training potential. I know it's endless. He's well behaved. Listens pretty good. He was never bad, just couldn't really tell which toys weren't his. He's starting to figure it out. Oh man the videos I see on these dogs blows my mind. Maybe when I'm retired we'll get another one. Eh maybe not lol.

The boss sent me this tiktok today of rottweiler and basset hound puppies. Hopefully the link works.

You can't hit the bag when he's around. He just wants to wrestle. Even when my boy is training, the dog wants to join in. I should get him some boxing gloves. I feel bad telling him that there's no biting allowed tho. That's his best weapon.

In this cold weather you guys need to get one of these foot warmers.

He also doubles as a warm blanket. Just let him jump up in your lap and you'll be nice and comfy. And as an added bonus, he'll wash your face while you watch TV.

I can't even sit down and relax for a minute without man's best friend rushing over to make sure I'm not lonely.

And apparently, I don't feed him enough.

The weakest game of tug I've ever seen. My boy actually won this round.

New toy! The poor shark doesn't know what he has coming. I wish they were a little bit more durable tho. This one will be destroyed in no time. Trying to keep the little pooch entertained gets expensive after a while.

I think I would go to the local dump and get him an old tire to chew on.

Not a bad idea at all. He has a small one for in the house. Maybe I should get him a real one for the back yard.

Awee… That looks so familiar! My little guy loves his mama, he follows her to the bathroom! If she goes out of town for a few days- sometimes she does- he will be waiting by the front door all the time while she is gone…. He will come to me if I call him but only if I have a treat for him…. Or taking him for a walk. Otherwise- yep, he is a mamas boy!

The poor cat can't live his golden years in peace. I feel for him sometimes. But then I remember I'm not a cat person.

I think he's trying to warm his balls on the vent, but they're tucked under him. I'd think they're already warm enough.
