Default Point & shoot recommendations

I am in the market to replace my point and shoot camera. The camera will stay on automatic and some scene modes for most of its life. It will serve as an all purpose camera for holidays and family gatherings (grand children). Will also be out hunting with me to record my harvests. I have bigger hand so nothing to small.
What would be your recommendations?
Thanks
I don't want to break the bank otherwise I would go with a mirrorless system.

I've got a Cannon powershot 16x zoom, really easy to use or you can set the exposure manually takes video's too . It has the steady hands deal perfect for shaky hands like mine even zoomed all the way out the pic's are clear. Look for one that takes AA batteries rather than rechargeable battery pack, 2 lithium batteries lasts for hundreds of shots.

I have the Panasonic FZ200 and love it. It has been upgraded a time or two but most of the upgrades are beyond my abilities. If you can't find the 200, I believe the new models are 300 and 1000 with equally good reviews.

There is a couple on Kijiji for 250-400 dollars.

X2 on the Powershot. I was in a new pawn shop on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton and they have a few of them. Priced really cheap. As low as 25 bucks. They sell for around 200 new.

I have a Canon DSLR for serious/involved photography, but for out in the bush & backcountry,
I carry a Canon PowerShot SX620HS. It's light and compact, and it takes great shots for a
pocket camera.

However, the camera features and picture quality in the newer smartphones are now so good,
pocket cameras may eventually become obsolete.
