Default Early pictures of Alberta Towns

Folks,

This came my way and I figured some of you would enjoy what Alberta looked like years past.

Great link Don. I came across this link somewhere ( maybe here ) several years back. Enjoyed going through all of the pictures. I love stuff like this.

Great website. I sent them a couple of pics of old towns they didn't have.

Neat pics for sure. In the Strathmore street pic, they have the view wrong, it is main street facing west, not south. The east door on the old King Eddie was the original wood door, with the key-hole lock & the brass knob. There was also a brass plate inscribed 'Please remove your spurs' that was in place until they changed the door, mid 70's or so.

Awesome, saw the store front of my great grandfathers store on main street Medicine Hat, the memorial hospital where my grandmother was born in pincher creek (coincidentally this is where my mom lives, and the same house the rancher I worked for lived in when he was a kid, the foundation is something else, I should get a metal detector and check out the yard), and, the Lebel mansion where my mom was born 3 years before ww2.
