Default Winchester 94 with step barrel???

I bought some time ago a Winchester model 94 made in 1899 but with a step barrel, now what I mean is that the barrel has two different size from the action toward the end of the barrel. Like some of the older mauser.

Has anyone ever seen or heard of one of these.

Are you saying that it is part octagon part round, if this is the case then its not particularly uncommon for this vintage of rifle. D.H.
