Default Painters Lodge BC

I am heading to Painters Lodge early August to fish the Tyee Pool and the area in general... Wondering if anyone has been and would like to share experience they had?

I know lodge is right on the water and wondering also if anyone has tried any shore fishing when not out in the boats? What should a guy bring for gear for shore fishing..

thanks in advance

I hope it goes really well for you there and I'm looking for the same info.
I haven't but I know my wife was interested in going there one day.

Somehow...I really don't know how I did it I managed to convince her to go with me to Langara Island in August. If that doesn't turn out weather-wise, my only hope after that is something like Painters.

Default Great fishing!

Just got back to Edmonton last week from a 4 hour trip with Dwayne Mustard--put us onto some fine fish! Topnotch guide, and good guy to have in the boat. Loads of experience, and knows his stuff! (Went out in the 17 foot Boston Whaler.) Painters did well to have 1 fish ready to travel for next morning, and the other is becoming lox Big smiles on my brother and I say it all: terrific experience!

In Campbell River there is a massive fishing pier. Buddy catches lots of salmon off it.

A good tip for those on a budget.

Saw a 10 year old kid pull in a 50 pounder off that pier in the 90s. Best I did on a boat there at the same time was 19 lbs.
