Default Walking stick

Used to be a guy could buy a nice walking stick /staff locally. Anyone seen any for sale around Edmonton area? I would like to buy a nicely carved one, though a plain one would be ok with nice grain. Something sturdy. I'm not in good enough condition myself to make one after my second heart attack. Wanted for dog and Coyote protecton and just help when walking I'm not so steady on my feet these days.

I'll bet you can find something that tickles your fancy here. A lot of it is home made.

Have given away 53 finished out door walking sticks in the last short year. Have another 72 finished hanging in the garage. What an opportunity if you were closer. I like to make sticks that have some character to them.

Thanks for all the answers. But I need something closer to the city as I had said. Only one close suggested was Peavy Mart which doesnt have what I'm after either.
Don't like the idea of mail order as these things are expensive and I'd like to see in person what I'm getting at internet prices. But again thanks all for the suggestions. Theres always someone on here trying to help its appreciated really.

The Wildbird General Store on 99 Street and south of 51 Avenue have hiking sticks. Their phone number is 780-439-7333. Prices range in the $30 - $40 range and up. Some are quite fancy. It is an interesting store to visit.

I think there was a guy at the old strathcona farmers market that made some but I haven’t been there in several months

On Kiiji

My Dad would take his hand carved diamond willow sticks to Yuma in the winter they were a big hit down there.

How long do you need? I could easily find some dry willow and make you one.

Boyds makes walking sticks
Probably end up about $100 cdn by the time you get it here.

https://www.boydsgunstocks.com/

Enter 'walking stick' in their search bar.

Now, if you're frugal, go to Home Depot and pick up 4ft piece of dowel. Get a pack of table leg tips for the bottom end. Use some hockey tape to twist up a handle on the top end.

Just a short note to say thanks to all for the help. There was many good offers and sugestions . Ive found what I am looking for.
Turns out when I was looking I didn't think to use the word hiker or hiking I just looked under walking stick or staff or cane. So when jungleboy sent me that link under "camping" on kijiji with "hiking stick" in the title there's lots that make them and I got one i like.
