Yummy. Those are some drumsticks. They should introduce some sand buzzards into southern Alberta and put a special draw to hunt them with primitive weapons.

Nice oven and grill too. There is another video of a guy smoking a whole sand buzzard for 16 hours at 105C.

Man, I was scrolling down to make a Fred comment and here you already had...

Wondering not only what the meat would be like, but also the gravy you could get from it...

The meat is truly wonderful.
More like a "red meat" than anything else.
Shot one last time over in Zimbabwe.
Had the thigh (singular) for dinner the next eve.
Both it and the gravy were first class.

Cheers,
Nog

There was a guy in Lloyd raising the birds for feathers and oil, I bought some steaks very coarse dark meat does not taste like chicken not even remotely, the eggs make huge omelets and they do taste like chicken eggs.

Bessiedog... I watched a vid of a guy that smoked a whole ostrich and they also made ostrich buffalo wings. They were relishing the skin on the wings.

One dressed whole ostrich is a pretty pricey buzzard but it will feed 75 people.

This is a typical Georgian cooking. I actually watched a few shows with this guy just for the recipes how to cook on coals... marinades are delicious!
That’s my cooking of shishkebabs...
